REST - Reflection and Renewal

Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10.

Pause, reflect, and renew - this is not a full-day commitment, but a few intentional hours to begin practicing Sabbath rest in everyday life.

Choose a time block that works for you—morning, afternoon, or evening—and try one or more of the following:

👤 If You Live Alone:

  • Light a candle and read a Psalm slowly.

  • Take a walk or sit quietly with a cup of tea.

  • Journal what you are grateful for this month.

  • Listen to worship music or a reflective podcast.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 If You are a Family with Children:

  • Begin with a short devotion or story from the Bible.

  • Do a creative activity together—drawing, baking, or building.

  • Share a meal with no screens and lots of laughter.

  • End with a simple prayer or blessing for each child.

🧓 If You’re a Caregiver:

  • Find small pockets of time—10–30 minutes—to pause.

  • Sit in silence, breathe deeply, and invite God’s peace.

  • Reflect on how God is present in your caregiving.

  • Ask someone to help for a short time so you can rest.

🏠 If You Cannot Leave Your Home:

  • Open a window or sit near natural light.

  • Listen to calming music or scripture audio.

  • Call a friend or family member for a short, uplifting chat.

  • Pray slowly through the Lord’s Prayer or Psalm 23.

Impact Women

Open to all women for fellowship and encouragement.

Connect. Share. Grow.

Each month, we gather in a warm, relaxed environment to share food, conversation, and practical insights for living with intention and purpose. These sessions are about real-life application, honest discussion, and building character in community, because we all influence someone, and we all need space to grow.

This year, we will be exploring principles from John C. Maxwell’s Beyond Success, diving into topics like attitude, personal growth, priorities, relationships, and even your most important relationship.

Together, we will learn how to move from good intentions to good actions and from success to significance, helping to live with clarity and impact.

Outreach and care

Dedicate time for intentional outreach and relational care. This is a time to step beyond our routines and extend the love of Christ to those who may feel forgotten, isolated, or in need of deeper connection.

What this looks like:

  • Visit those who are housebound – Bring encouragement, prayer, and presence.

  • Reach out to those in need – Offer practical help, a listening ear, or a shared meal.

  • Reconnect with family members – Strengthen relationships through intentional time together.

  • Encourage one another – Send a message, make a call, or pray with someone.

This rhythm is not about doing more—it’s about being present. Whether you go alone, with your household, or as a small group, these Sundays are an opportunity to practice care as worship, and to build bridges of love and trust.

  • Take a walk or sit quietly with a cup of tea.

  • Journal what you are grateful for this month.

  • Listen to worship music or a reflective podcast.
