Rhythms and Practices
In 2026, we are focusing on rhythms and practices that shape intentional living and relational care. Our commitment is to model disciple-making and lead by example, starting with ourselves, in our homes, and in our spheres of influence. This year, we’ll give special attention to strengthening our rhythms and practices for intentional living.
Daily reading and regular fasting
Set time aside daily for Scripture Reading
Read Scripture – a minimum of one chapter per day. See the calendar for the suggested daily reading.
Set time aside for weekly fasting
Weekly - Wednesday
January - 21 days - Read the Gospel of John
September - 30 days - Read Revelation
Meditate on the Word – Reflect on what the passage is saying and consider these questions:
What does this passage reveal about Jesus?
How is He inviting me to follow Him more closely?
What is the Spirit highlighting for me to obey or surrender?
Pray – Pray and listen to God.
Reflect & share
Share a short reflection or prayer point in the WhatsApp group.
Encourage others by responding to their reflections.
Gathering schedule
Sunday Scriptures
When we gather we will focus on the following scriptures in 2026:
When we gather together - 1 Corinthians 14:26
Below is an example guideline that you can follow for when you gather together as a household, with family, or with others.
1. Welcome & Connect (10–15 mins)
Greet each other and share food / snacks / refreshments.
Go around and share:
One high (something good from the week)
One low (something hard or sad)
Say thank you to God for the highs and ask Him to help with the lows.
2. Read & Reflect (20 mins)
Pray together – Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand His Word.
Read Scripture – Read the chosen passage of scripture, others to read different translations.
Quiet time (Pause & Meditate) – Everyone takes a moment to think and write or draw:
What word or phrase stood out?
What does it tell you about Jesus?
3. Obey & Apply (15 mins)
Discuss Together:
What stood out to you?
Any questions or insights?
How can you apply this in your life this week?
4. Share & Multiply (10 mins)
Each person shares one takeaway or action point.
Consider how to encourage someone else with what you’ve learned.
5. Pray (10–15 mins)
Pray over shared reflections and prayer points.
Pray for one another to walk in obedience and love.
Close with communion, a prayer or song.
3rd Sunday - “Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Suggested Rhythm (2–4 Hours)
Choose a time block that works for you—morning, afternoon, or evening—and try one or more of the following:
👤 If you live alone:
Light a candle and read a Psalm slowly.
Take a walk or sit quietly with a cup of tea.
Journal what you are grateful for this month.
Listen to worship music or a reflective podcast.
🧓 If you are a caregiver:
Find small pockets of time—10–30 minutes—to pause.
Sit in silence, breathe deeply, and invite God’s peace.
Reflect on how God is present in your caregiving.
Ask someone to help for a short time so you can rest.
👨👩👧👦 If you are a family with children:
Begin with a short devotion or story from the Bible.
Do a creative activity together—drawing, baking, or building.
Share a meal with no screens and lots of laughter.
End with a simple prayer or blessing for each child.
🏠 If you cannot leave your home:
Open a window or sit near natural light.
Listen to calming music or scripture audio.
Call a friend or family member for a short, uplifting chat.
Pray slowly through the Lord’s Prayer or Psalm 23.
4th and 5th Sunday – Outreach and care rhythm
This rhythm is not about doing more—it’s about being present. Whether you go alone, with your household, or as a small group, these Sundays are an opportunity to practice care as worship, and to build bridges of love and trust.
Visit those who are housebound – Bring encouragement, prayer, and presence.
Reach out to those in need – Offer practical help, a listening ear, or a shared meal.
Reconnect with family members – Strengthen relationships through intentional time together.
Encourage one another – Send a message, make a call, or pray with someone
Prayer Meetings
Prayer is at the heart of our rhythm, just like daily Bible reading and weekly fasting. We believe prayer should be part of everyday life, but we also value coming together as a community to seek God.
Twice a month, we meet in person for prayer. These gatherings are an opportunity to share concerns, bring prayer points, and pray for one another, our community, and the world. It’s a space for encouragement, unity, and lifting our hearts together before God.

Male and Female Sessions
Connect. Share. Grow.
Each month, we gather in a warm, relaxed environment to share food, conversation, and practical insights for living with intention and purpose. These sessions are about real-life application, honest discussion, and building character in community, because we all influence someone, and we all need space to grow.
Our focus for 2026
This year, we will be exploring principles from John C. Maxwell’s Beyond Success, diving into topics like attitude, personal growth, priorities, relationships, and even your most important relationship.
Together, we will learn how to move from good intentions to good actions and from success to significance, helping to live with clarity and impact.

Children’s Meet Up (5th Sunday)
Our heart is that disciple-making begins at home and is led by parents. Families play the primary role in helping children grow in faith and character, and we strongly encourage this as part of everyday life.
While others will be focused on outreach and care, on the fifth Sunday of the month, we simply create an opportunity for children from Impact to meet, build friendships, and enjoy fun, enriching activities together. These gatherings are about connection and community, with experiences like theatre trips, park outings, or other creative activities that help children laugh, learn, and grow in a safe, supportive environment.
