We believe

  • The Holy scriptures as originally given, comprising the Old and New Testaments, are divinely inspired, infallible, and all sufficient for all matters of belief and behaviour. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21).

  • In the One and Only true God. The Godhead consists of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Three distinct co- equal persons but ONE unique Godhead (Deuteronomy 6:4, Mark 12:29, Luke 3:21-22, 2 Corinthians 13:14).

  • That God the Father revealed Himself through the Scriptures of the Old Testament as the One True Eternal. All Wise, All Powerful, All Knowing. All Loving, Creator God. He has now revealed Himself through His son Jesus, the Messiah, the Christ (Isaiah 48:12-16, Luke 24:27, Luke 24:44, Hebrews 1:1-3)

  • That Jesus is the Only begotten Son of the Father (Proverbs 30:4, Psalm 2:7). His first coming as a man is fulfilment of the Old Testament prophecies. His ‘one sacrifice for sin forever’ has replaced all sacrifices of the Old Covenant and is now the only ground for Redemption. (Hebrews 9:11-12). Born of a virgin mother, he died and rose from the dead and now sits at the right hand of God the father in glory. (Psalm 110:1, Matthew 1:22-23, Matthew 28:18-20, Act 2:34-36, Ephesians 1:7).

  • That justification (being accounted righteous before a Holy God) comes about only through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus. (John 3:16-21, Romans 3, Romans 5:1-2, Titus 3:5).

  • That the Holy Spirit indwells all believers and that He gives power for service and gifts for the benefit of the Body of Christ (the Messiah). (John 3:1-8, John 14:17, John 15:26, Romans 8:9-11, Romans 10:9-13, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 1 Corinthians 12, 1 John 4:15)

  • The Church which is the Body of Christ the Messiah, consists of all believers born of the Spirit and justified by faith, both Jew and Gentile. (Romans 10:9-13, Romans 12:5, Ephesians 1:22-23, Ephesians 4:11-22, Ephesians 5:23, Colossians 1:24)

  • In the personal return of the Lord Jesus, the Messiah and Saviour of the world. (Zechariah 14, Matthew 16:27, Matthew 24, John 14:1-3, Acts 1:7-11, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Hebrews 9:24-28, Revelation 1:7).
